Description

HRF whip mount for the 2014-16 Yamaha YZ450F
This HRF whip mount is designed specifically for the 2014-16 Yamaha YZ450F. It mounts up under the rear fender next to the exhaust muffler.
It keeps the safety flag far behind the rider and high off the ground so that it can serve its purpose. Easy installation and no other hardware needed.

**** HRF RECOMMENDS USING A 1/4" OR 5/16" THICK SAFETY FLAG. DO NOT USE THE BIG 3/8" THICK BUGGY/TRUCK FLAGS. THESE ARE TOO BIG FOR BIKES ****

Note: The HRF Quick release flag holder shown in the pictures is sold separately. Click here to purchase

Excellent product! June 14, 2017

I've had axle mounts in the past and my flag, pipe, and plastics ended up all scratched up. Finally got my hands on one of these and love it. Keeps the flag out of my way and all by itself away from the bike. Outstanding and why would you get anything else?

Looks promising June 6, 2016

My experience so far is mounting, not using.  The design concept looks sound and appears fairly well optimized for stress vs. weight.  Any risk I think would be in torsion of the bar.  I had a slight fit problem the front end of the bar interfered with the wide washer of the fender fastener.  The washer is captured on the screw so removing it is not the fix.  I fixed it by grinding down one side of the washer and also cutting off the plastic plug on the whip mount bar front end but keeping the end plugged.   Designers, shortening the square bar on the front end by maybe .25 inch while maintaining the same mount position would solve the issue on 2014 bikes.  Time will tell how this bar holds up but I am enthusiastic over my old axle mount.  This product is worth a look to anyone looking for a flag whip mount.
